At AyiConnect, we are committed to empowering AAPI caregivers, which includes being able to communicate effectively with their clients. We know that many AAPI caregivers come to the United States with limited English proficiency, which can make it difficult for them to communicate effectively with their clients and employers. Additionally, AAPI cultures often have different communication styles than Western cultures. This can also lead to misunderstandings between caregivers and clients.
We have created a variety of resources to help caregivers learn English and improve their communication skills, including an ESL course.
The Need for ESL Courses
In order to address this need, we recently launched our inaugural ESL courses that focus on basic knowledge and conversation around caregiving. These courses are designed to help AAPI caregivers improve their English skills so that they can better communicate with their clients and employers.
The Development of the ESL Courses
The development of these courses was a labor of love for our team. We worked closely with AAPI caregivers to ensure that the courses were relevant to their needs.
