We are looking for a postpartum nanny who can speak Chinese (Mandarin). The baby's gender is unknown and the due date is August 27, 2025. This position is a live-in position and we welcome candidates from out of town or out of state. Candidates must have experience in newborn and postpartum care and be calm, quiet, and introverted. If necessary, the caregiver must be able to separate the baby from the family dog. Taiwanese candidates are preferred, and candidates from mainland China, other Mandarin-speaking countries, or South Korea are also welcome to apply. This position is located in Austin, Texas, USA. The family consists of three people: the mother is of Taiwanese descent, speaks fluent Mandarin and English, and works from home; the father speaks English and also works from home. There are two dogs in the family, weighing 8 pounds and 100 pounds respectively. The baby's room is upstairs, next to the parents' room. The caregiver can choose to live with the baby, or arrange a private room as needed (to be determined). Main responsibilities include caring for and interacting with the newborn (e.g., feeding, changing diapers, bathing), handling baby-related household chores (e.g., laundry, toy organization, room cleaning), and providing postpartum recovery support and meal preparation for the mother. Salary range is $280–$330 per day, and transportation is provided.
